Arise! Arise! Great Ones!

Arise! Arise! Great Ones!

The world, alas, stands on the shoulders of braves,
who withered carrying its burden,
for tortured minds, of tormented souls,
and stood for the cause that mattered
all humanity and all humankind.
Of love, mutual respect, values,
understanding, friendship and virtues,
for peace, knowledge and truth,
so that people can wake up and see
the path they took, and
the path they should take !
Arise O great race of the Gods!
Arise O daughters and sons of the Divine!
Haven't the sacrifices of these brave prophets enough?
Enough to quench your thirst of darkness, dread and death?
Come on, you can be better!
Arise! Arise! Great Ones!

Ubuntu

Ubuntu

A Poem by Nayan
"

Song of hope and belief against the darkness of hopelessness and disbelief. Single twine that reignites the passion to move on against the backdrop of falling mankind. Which calls for humanity!

"

“Ubuntu” (means humanity and mankind)

He runs and He runs…
Devoid of the light of the Sun
With darkened sight and tearful eyes…
He runs to see his life’s daylight!

Road to the future, is
Damaged and damned!
He still runs loaded, with -
The Corpse of Mankind!

Glaze of the destined knife -
Blinds the eyes of his life!
It comes to sever the supportive rope -
And so shivers his tethered hope!

When the white turns dark -
Faint little shine, trembles behind the ark!
The veiled visions clack -
The face so familiar turns black!

Alone he stands,
Alone he runs…
But longs for the resurrection -
Of the moons and the suns!

Modelled on goodness,
And moulded with hope,
He looks for that Silver -
In the gold that were sold!

As he runs, and runs -
His heart, with pain, burns!
Calls his belief, do not leave…
What if he turns? - fears and weeps!

With looming disbelief,
He cries to the sky!
And curses for his grief -
To the One who lives so high!

And then, he hears -
The smile of a child!
Who just now, from ants,
Saved, a beautiful butterfly!

He, thus touched, sheds his tears,
Calls Humanity, for a thousand years -
Belief back! In life’s possibilities prime!
He runs, he runs " Through the Sands of Time!
